What is HALCO Weldable Hook and Loop?
At its core, our weldable hook and loop is a standard nylon woven material, what makes it special though, is the adhesive backing that it has. With a high frequency coating, it is designed to be used with a high frequency welding machine to create a bond with the PVC or other connecting material. A high frequency welding machine uses electromagnetic energy and pressure to cause molecules in the PVC and backing to start moving, generating heat and softening them enough to fuse together. After it has cooled down, the resulting bond is just as strong as the surrounding materials, sometimes even stronger.

In our client's air domes, our weldable hook and loop tapes can be found fused to the thick PVC materials used in the domes. The hook and loop can then be used to hold different features and parts, such as curtains, netting and flooring.
